Join Bay Area chef and educator JiYoung Park for an intimate hansik (Korean cuisine) cooking workshop focused on two delicious Korean dishes featured in Yim Soon-rye’s 2018 film Little Forest: sujebi (hand-torn dough soup) and baechujeon (Korean cabbage pancakes).
Participants will prepare and shape dough for sujebi, and cut, coat, and cook baechujeon from scratch. Beyond the cooking itself, Chef Park will share her expertise on the cultural significance of food and recipes, how recipes evolve as they’re passed down through families, and stories from her own journey reinterpreting Korean food heritage.
All materials are provided, and participants will enjoy their creations fresh, right after cooking
