Flatiron Wines & Spirits is thrilled to welcome back Eric Danch (@ericdanch), co-founder of Danch & Granger Selections (danchandgranger.com, @danchandgrangerselections), for his annual Holiday Wine Tasting Spectacular. Eric is known as one of wine's great storytellers—someone whose passion for the wines he imports is matched only by his ability to bring them to life through compelling narratives about the people and places behind each bottle.
Danch & Granger Selections specializes in wines from the "New Old World" of Eastern and Central Europe, importing from Austria, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Founded as the independent offspring of Blue Danube Wine Company, a pioneering importer that championed this part of the wine world from 2002 to 2019, Danch & Granger continues that mission with an emphasis on organic farming, native grapes, and low intervention winemaking.
Eric's Holiday Tasting Spectacular has become a must-attend event, offering a festive exploration of wines perfect for the season ahead. From food-friendly reds that pair beautifully with holiday feasts to whites that offer refreshing counterpoints to rich dishes, Eric curates a selection that showcases both the diversity of Central and Eastern European winemaking and the kind of value that makes stocking up for the holidays easy.
