THIS BURNING WORLD 2026 adapts stills from the 2022 video installation of the same name, to a large scale, 433-foot-wide facade meant to bring vibrancy and activation to the Yerba Buena neighborhood. Large scale stills from his original commissioned video work layers intricate geometric patterns and landscapes to address urgent themes of Indigenous sovereignty, climate change, and the power of art to activate ideas and community.
Commissioned by ICA San Francisco in partnership with the Yerba Buena Partnership and funded by the Downtown Development Corporation, this installation is the first of three public art commissions that will deepen the experience of a contemporary arts corridor in the Yerba Buena neighborhood, the center of the city’s museum district.
