Details
Ned Kahn creates public art that uses nature's power — fog, wind, fire and water — to enliven his pieces. The ebb and flow of Hidden Sea climbs multiple stories of an apartment building at 4th and Clementina streets. The piece, installed in 2000, is 40-feet tall and 25-foot wide with 6,000 small aluminum pieces that move freely in the wind, like waves of metallic fog, clouds or grass. Kahn is a MacArthur Foundation “genius grant” awardee.
