Experience the vibrant rhythms of Cuba with a free performance by the Grammy-nominated Orquesta Akokán at Yerba Buena Gardens in downtown San Francisco.Join the outdoor "Cuban dance party" atmosphere on Saturday, September 6, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM. Orquesta Akokán brings the glorious sounds of mambo, son montuno, guarachas, cha cha cha, and boleros, offering an irresistible 21st-century take on classic mid-20th century Cuban dance music. Pre-show music by KALW DJ Margarita Azucar begins at 1:30 PM.Yerba Buena Gardens is an all-ages, ADA accessible outdoor venue easily reached by public transit. Bring your family, friends, and your best dance moves! Picnic blankets and food are encouraged to enjoy the show in the beautiful garden setting.
