In collaboration with SOMA Pilipinas, director and professional soccer player Reina Bonta invites you to participate in a very special event! We will be presenting an exclusive screening of Reina's documentary short film, "Maybe It's Just the Rain", as well as a panel about visibility of women's athletes and intergenerational cultural connection. The film, centering the Philippines' historic debut at the FIFA World Cup, and how this success is owed to our Filipino ancestors, sold-out at its premiere at Oscar-Qualifying LA Asian Pacific Film Festival, mostly recently screened at Cannes Marché Du Film.
Join us at the Children's Creativity Museum for an exclusive screening and Q&A, and then step outside for a fun mini-soccer tournament! All ages are welcome to the event.
