Create art inspired by programs at YBCA in this series of drop-in art workshops for participants of all ages. Each workshop will explore different practices and art-making methods. Materials will be provided, and participants will be able to take their artwork home as a souvenir.
Play around with shapes, color, and imagery by designing a figurative silhouette collage. Layer silhouettes featuring yourself with friends, family, and/or your community, and work intuitively by combining memory and imagination to develop a vibrant, complex collage. This workshop is inspired by artist Rea Lynn de Guzman’s TL Dreams series, from the MAKIBAKA: A Living Legacy exhibit presented by SOMA Pilipinas in collaboration with YBCA.
