In collaboration with the Curve Foundation and the Castro LGBTQ Cultural District, please join us for a panel discussion in honor of Lesbian Visibility Week with Joan Benoit, Marga Gomez, Crystal Mason, and Franco Stevens, moderated by Caro De Robertis. What does it mean to engage in art, activism, and authentic living in tumultuous times? How can lesbian culture — past, present, and future, and inclusive of dyke, queer, and nonbinary expressions — enrich us all in our work of creating the world we want to see? The panel will discuss these artists and trailblazers’ stories and creations as presented in the galleries, and the possibilities for building collective power as we celebrate, affirm, and uplift who we truly are.

Meet in the Grand Lobby before the Lesbian Power panel discussion for a tour of Conjuring Power: Roots & Futures of Queer & Trans Movements, from 5:30-6:15 pm. Join co-curator Caro De Robertis and Queer Ancestors Project creative director Katie Gilmartin for this unique opportunity to learn more about the intersections of art and activism, history and imagination, with a special emphasis on the role of lesbians, dykes, queer women, and nonbinary people in the movements for justice and freedom of the past, present, and future.
