🌼💀🌼 Making history—first time at Yerba Buena Gardens!
Cultura y Arte Nativa de las Américas (CANA) is bringing you the very first, free, family-friendly Día de los Muertos celebration in partnership with the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival!
The celebration will feature an Indigenous blessing and procession, a community altar, food + artisan booths, live mural painting, and performances from Indigenous dance groups and cultural music acts. Set in the heart of SoMa at Yerba Buena, the Night Market is all about uplifting ancestral memory, supporting local businesses, and creating vibrant community gathering spaces.
This year’s event will also pay tribute to the late Maestro Eddie Palmieri—honoring his legacy within the Latino community and remembering his personal connection to San Francisco through his unforgettable performances at both Carnaval San Francisco and the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival.
Thank you to our partners Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, La Cocina, Carnaval SF, Yelp Bay Area, De Anda Communications and BARTable for making this possible, and warm and loving gracias to the Svane Family Foundation for funding the event.
