- Better Market Street Plan
Better Market Street will deliver transformative transportation, streetscape and safety improvements along 2.2. miles of Market Street between Octavia Boulevard and The Embarcadero. The project will revitalize and improve San Francisco’s busiest pedestrian street, busiest bicycle thoroughfare and busiest transit corridor, making it safer and easier for people to get around and creating a vibrant and inclusive destination where people want to live, work and visit.Specifically, the project proposes a sidewalk level bicycle lane, private vehicle restrictions, streetscape improvements and extensive critical state-of-good-repair improvements, including the replacement of aging sewers, water mains, traffic signals, transit tracks and overhead wires. - 2nd Street Project
